Update 10/15/19: Priority Pass website updated: “P.F.Chang’s will no longer be part of the program 25OCT19.”
We’ve heard for a while now that P.F. Chang’s at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) was considering leaving Priority Pass. Multiple waitstaff over the last few weeks had mentioned management being displeased with Priority Pass support and reimbursement. We heard similar remarks from waitstaff at Campanile in Terminal 4 just before they also left the program last year after just a brief relationship.
While an official announcement from either party hasn’t been released, we were told by staff today that October 25th is the last day Priority Pass will be accepted. We aren’t completely surprised considering the credit was also quietly reduced from $30 to $28 last month.
While disappointing, Terminal B is connected to Terminal 6 by underground tunnels where a new restaurant joined Priority Pass two months ago. Points The Way Cafe is about a 20 minute walk and does not require re-entering security. After being denied access twice in early September due to Priority Pass issues we were definitely getting worried, but it seems to be resolved now. We’ve been able to make a few visits and will be posting a review soon now that they’ve stuck around. Let’s hope that Priority Pass is able to keep adding restaurants faster than they’re losing!
